Before you begin:
  • The test has 3 parts and takes 11–14 minutes. Your examiner is pre-recorded; your answers are recorded by your microphone.
  • After each question, the recording light turns red — speak naturally, then press Done.
  • In Parts 1 and 3 you may re-record once per question. Part 2 is a single take, just like the real exam.
  • Part 2 gives you a cue card, 1 minute to prepare (you can type notes), then up to 2 minutes to speak.
  • Use headphones in a quiet room. Switching browser tabs is logged.
Required: record 3 seconds and play it back to confirm your mic works.
Terms & Conditions
  • You get one scored attempt at this test. After that the player opens in study mode (review only — no new band).
  • This is an independent practice mock by Rosemounts Institute — not affiliated with or endorsed by IDP, the British Council, or Cambridge. Band scores are estimates, produced with AI assistance. Pronunciation in particular is an AI estimate from a transcript; a human review is available on dispute.
  • Your voice is recorded and, with your email, used to evaluate and return your Test Report Form. Recordings are kept 15 days for dispute review; your transcript and result are kept longer so your score can be re-checked.
  • You can raise a dispute from your Test Report Form for 15 days after the attempt.
  • For test integrity, tab switches and leaving the test window are logged.
